NDY Sound

The inception of Norman Disney & Young's Acoustic Section in July of 2000 has already seen this relatively new discipline specialise in architectural acoustics, noise and vibration control from mechanical and industrial plant, environmental noise surveys and assessments and measurement of noise and vibration.

Norman Disney & Young established this additional service with the objective of providing reliable, professional advice on acoustics and noise and vibration control.

While the Acoustic Section is based in Auckland, projects in other parts of the country, and overseas are also undertaken.

Norman Disney & Young has employed Acoustic Section Leader, Michael Sullivan, to establish, develop and grow the discipline. Michael is formally an Acoustic Engineer of Watson Moss Growcott in Melbourne, Australia.

Particular emphasis is placed on buildings and building services, as well as offering practical acoustic design advice for most aspects of acoustics and noise control.

Already the Norman Disney & Young Acoustic Section have procured several major projects, including PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower, North Shore District Courts, Developers Consultant for Hyatt Residences development in Princes Street Auckland, 277 Broadway Redevelopment, Auckland University of Technology Administration Building and the Waikato Football and Event Stadium.
