Roselands Shopping Centre, Syndye, Australia

Client: Vicinity Centres

Architect: Buchan/MTRDC

The first shopping centre of its kind in Australia, initially constructed in 1966, Roselands in Sydney’s south-west had many minor refurbishments but was in need of a major upgrade to its public areas especially its Food Court area. The client’s intent was to refurbish all of the Level 1 area and part of the ground floor area.

After a $90 million transformation Roselands is a vibrant new fresh food destination. NDYLIGHT undertook the lighting design for The Markets, a true-one stop destination for customers to eat, drink, shop and socialise. The Markets offers a powerful combination of fresh food retailers and specialists, a new Aldi, a transformed Coles, a new Woolworths and a wide selection of casual dining and quick-bite options all on one convenient level.
