About the project

NDYLIGHT was involved in both the lighting to the residences themselves as well as the public area lighting to the main foyer, the pool deck, theatrette and gymnasium for the 150 Clarendon Street 6 Star apartment complex.

The residential lighting was developed using a combination of concealed indirect lighting as well as adjustable downlighting to provide a highly versatile lighting solution that creates both an internal effect as well as an external effect with all indirect lighting aligning across each level of the building. The lighting system to each residence was designed to allow fully dimmable, programmable lighting scenes that could be customised by each resident.

The lighting to the public areas is designed around similar principles with both direct and indirect ambient lighting utilised. Within the foyer itself one large central custom chandelier hangs in front of the internally illuminated book-leaf screen style translucent Onyx clad feature wall. Around this recessed downlights provide the general illumination to the space while indirect lighting elements accentuate the overall form of the architecture.
