The opportunity to activate the ground plan has been achieved by creating a transparency that connects the external streetscape with the internal lobby, along with a radically redesigned, more intimate series of interconnected spaces within. The reception, bar lounge and restaurant areas respond to the beautiful colours and textures of the nearby Fitzroy Gardens with a variance of light and dark treatments throughout.

The lighting design incorporated two large custom chandeliers to fill the void spaces at curved stairwells.
