Total lighting consultancy

NDYLIGHT offer TOTAL LIGHTING DESIGN CONSULTANCY from the site planning stage at the outset of the project through the daylight design, interior and exterior lighting designs and to the construction and commissioning stages.

Our approach is holistic – we consider a building’s 24 hour use and appearance. Our designs are highly integrated into the architectural and interior designs and push boundaries with regards to the technologies and energy use.

With strong research and development drive, we remain at the forefront of available technologies. Careful selection of the correct equipment in terms of performance and optical quality ensures that the right levels of light are delivered where and when they are required. Suitable control system selection also allows lighting to provide maximum flexibility and energy efficiency, whilst retaining creative, quality design.

Our award winning projects and repeat clients are testimony of our success over the last 25 years.

Daylight design

LIGHTING IS A MAJOR FACTOR in determining the way in which people experience the internal environment and how they are able to respond to certain tasks.

Good lighting enhances the quality of a space and contributes to creating an appropriate atmosphere. Whilst the current rating tools within Australia nominate daylight as a tool to illuminate a working plane and save energy via reducing the requirement for artificial lighting, there are also significant health benefits.

NDYLIGHT have delivered major award-winning daylight solutions in Australia and Europe. We offer a complete range of skills in daylight modelling for buildings. Our aim is to assist the design team to achieve the optimum outcome for daylight design, minimising energy usage whilst satisfying user comfort requirements.

Shining a light on sustainability

At NDYLIGHT, SUSTAINABILITY IS IN OUR DNA. It’s not an ‘add-on’ but an intrinsic part of everything we do. We’re committed to lighting solutions that contribute to a sustainable future – because we know that sustainability is not only better for our cities and communities, but also for our clients.

Lighting consumes 19 per cent of the world’s electricity.  NDYLIGHT understands how the right lighting design is not only more economical and environmentally-sustainable.

Good lighting can reduce absenteeism and workplace accidents, enhance productivity, health and wellbeing, boost learning and improve patient outcomes. Smart, sustainable lighting solutions can also slash energy usage – and energy costs too.

At NDYLIGHT, we practice what we preach. We have attained global ISO14001 accreditation, we report annually on our own corporate sustainability initiatives through the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, and our Australian offices are either certified or registered for Green Star and NABERS ratings.
We design our projects to comply with the Building Code of Australia and the Green Star rating system, where appropriate.

Lighting technology moves at a rapid pace – and with those advances come greater complexity.  We believe that the best creative solutions are found when we work together with a project’s design team, architects, planners, developers and engineers – and by collaborating from the initial planning right through to construction phase.

We’ve helped our clients to achieve significant financial savings, and we continue to develop efficient, cost-effective lighting solutions that deliver on the ‘triple bottom line’ of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
